stevebooth: :) Feb 22, 2017 13:49:47 GMT
corky: Wish I'd never heard Doris, took half the garage roof and god knows how ( I'm an atheist;-) the cheap propagators have mostly survived , hope you friends are all unscathed Feb 23, 2017 21:26:53 GMT
stevebooth: Sorry to hear that Corky, I hope all is OK and that the damage can be repaired fairly easily. Hope your insurance will cover it Feb 24, 2017 13:44:57 GMT
corky: Cheers Steve , its not bad just a couple of corrugated sheets required and a bit of time , I'd of been more annoyed if I lost my plants;-) Feb 24, 2017 16:22:11 GMT
fredg: No problems with Doris here but we did get hit by Hurricane Rob. Rob was the driver of the Artic that had a go at the passenger side of the car as I was waiting in a right turn filter lane at traffic lights. Feb 24, 2017 16:58:27 GMT *
fredg: MrsG was sitting over there and luckily Rob didn't come over too far so no injuries. Since then a bit of a hassle with the insurance company and finally today we have a decent idea about what happens next Feb 24, 2017 17:00:54 GMT
fredg: The car was written off today Feb 24, 2017 17:01:18 GMT
fredg: Not what you'd call a dull week :-S Feb 24, 2017 17:02:28 GMT
corky: Blimey Fred, glad you're both okay and wish you luck in getting everything sorted quickly , inconvenient though Feb 24, 2017 17:56:26 GMT
fredg: The old car will be collected on Monday and the new one should be ready to collect Tuesday. Then we can relax for a bit Feb 25, 2017 11:42:33 GMT
corky: That's very quick , hope you don't get messed around Feb 25, 2017 13:05:16 GMT
fredg: We don't hang around corky :D Feb 25, 2017 16:15:55 GMT
fredg: <- likes his new car Mar 4, 2017 12:14:14 GMT
corky: Well that's good news :) Mar 4, 2017 17:15:45 GMT
stevebooth: getting plants that have overwintered in the greenhouse outside today. A lot of repotting to be done, but as usual no space to put everything!!! Mar 12, 2017 16:14:04 GMT
stevebooth: The pond is full of noisy fornicating frogs, they normally spawn in the little pool I made for them, but the weed in the pond has lulled them into a false sense of security. I will have to move the spawn later to give the tadpoles a chance. Mar 12, 2017 16:18:55 GMT *
fredg: I is back Mar 16, 2017 18:25:45 GMT
stevebooth: Spent a very happy few hours consolidating my mature and larger juvenile Darlingtonia into fewer, larger pots. Ended up with 70 plus pants in a variety of containers. No named individuals just an accumulation of seed grown plants from mostly my own seed. Mar 23, 2017 16:26:17 GMT *
stevebooth: Utricularia reniformis showing through he Sphagnum in the greenhouse and it looks as well f after all these years of not growing them, that my first soirée into Pygmy sundews is going img to be a success :D i is a happy chappy Mar 23, 2017 16:33:09 GMT *
fredg: Happy chappy is a good place to be ;) Mar 23, 2017 17:10:08 GMT
