April the 7th and here goes for 2017.
It's too dry! I need rain.
My main working barrel on the lean-to is empty along with the two working barrels on the middle greenhouse. Now I know I have quite a lot in storage but it's a bit early to be starting on that.
Whatever happened to April showers?

Must say I was thinking how dry its been lately, next week also looks dry, luckily I don't use too much water and am looking forward to the nice weather getting some plants moving

I have less than half my water storage full at the moment and will be plumbing in another barrel over the weekend, that one of my sons salvaged from a skip and I have repaired (bless silicone seal). I know over the weekend I will use a lot of water potentially using the majority of the remainder. I shall also get my RO machine out and prepare that for use, According to Metcheck we may get some rain Wednesday, but not much, so the RO may be on before next weekend, that would be the earliest ever. As Fred asks whatever happened to April showers?

I've fired up my RO unit last night. :-(
I didn't have a full complement of rain stored before this dry spell hit, so have now run extremely low!

The RO machine is now running so I should have a couple of hundred gallons by tomorrow, which should see me through to the weekend, when, true to form as it's a bank holiday, it will probably persist it down.

Following on from today's forecast of persistent rain all afternoon, I've just finished hosing the garden I don't remember a spring as dry as this one.

The store is down another 50 litres I'll probably use another 50 litres tomorrow. That'll be 400 litres out of storage.

Consulting various forecasts it doesn't look. Like we will get anything worthwhile by way of rainfall till May! I have reluctantly put the RO back on today, fortunately the weather is cool and the plants not yet in full growth, so my use age isn't as high as it could be, but t I am using 1 -200 gallons a week. The bogs are still self sufficient and haven't needed watering due to their storage capacity and slow early growth of the plants,.

I had to do more watering this afternoon so I'm now 500 litres down. As for the overnight rain, I've seen heavier humidity showers

Today the thermometer in the top greenhouse recorded a high of 36.3C (97.34F). That's way above last year's max of 32.9C (91.22F). Its naked rain dancing on the roof with inverted Y-fronts on the head time. If that image doesn't disturb you you have problems.

Well I managed to dance up a thunder shower this morning. Only five neighbours required counselling so that's a win.
