I'll use this for general spring flowers as they appeal. Erythronium 'Joanna' (Dog's-tooth violet) is looking particularly pinkish this year. The flowers are almost over. I think many of the spring flowering plants don't like the dryness. She's spreading very well. Leucojum vernum, the spring snowflake is looking very good in the part of the Fernery north west of the path. At least I hope it's Leucojum vernum and not the summer snowflake Leucojum aestivum. The bulbs were much more expensive.

Now it's not a plant and it's not really a flower but it's growing in a Darlingtonia seedling pot and I don't remember planting it.

This/these Trillium cuneatum suffered from a severe snail/slug attack last year. Thankfully it's happily flowering this year without the same problem.

About 20 years ago I asked MrsG's uncle for a bit of this plant. He smiled wryly and described it as a pernicious weed. It has now started to seed in other parts of the garden but after 20 years I wouldn't describe that as pernicious. My sandy soil (more sand than soil) must have something to do with that. Ranunculus ficaria - Lesser Celandine It's been flowering for a couple of months already so it definitely pays its way. A late flowering "double" Anemone. I believe this one is 'Vestal'

About three years ago I bought four species of Trillium and they've been in pots ever since. Their growth rate is far from spectacular but at least they're still alive. This is the first of them to flower. Trillium grandiflora

First time to flower for Trillium erectum. It's a little confusing as the flower is nodding not erect and the label says T. grandiflora . Now I have to wait to find out what the one with the T. erectum label is
