MrsG and I have been detecting a rather pleasant scent in the top greenhouse for a couple of weeks. Naturally we check every flower and it's not them. I finally realised what is scenting the area - Drosophyllum. I should have guessed earlier, the sweet honey overtones They're starting to catch prey quite well too.

It's odd I've never thought the plant smelled like honey. The best word I can think of to describe it is...musky. It can certainly be a prevalent odor though.

MrsG insisted I remove a flowering Sarracenia flava from the top greenhouse as Tom Cat and Honey weren't mixing particularly well and it was permeating into the house. She's much happier now that it's back to just the honey overtones.
