I sat and watched these arachnids hatching this afternoon, what they are I am afraid I don’t know but I’m hoping the pictures, although poor, are detailed enough for an educated guess. As the ball expanded and the spiderlings wandered off into the extended web, the thunder started and large bobs of rain fell spasmodically. I retired to the greenhouse.

Regrettably after the late heavy bombardment that was the biblical rain we got in Brum yesterday, there is no sign of the web or it’s occupants. I hope they found refuge.
