Another update on these ant ferns that were started from spores on November 7, 2018. Here are a few that were transplanted into a 6-3/4" pot on November 8, 2019. I had read online that they adjusted to transplanting quicker by using the "buddy method", so here is a small clump of about three buddies transplanted together. Some of these ant ferns were not cooperating with the above mentioned method and came out as singles. The orange air roots attach themselves into crevices in tree bark, allowing them to climb up tree trunks, in situ. Theses ant ferns are currently growing in this pot, under a glass cloche, and receiving weekly spritzes of dilute orchid fertilizer. dvg

Hi Doug The plants are still less than a year old but are fully recognisable, and growing well. Due to lack of space I have saved over 40 plants for myself, giving the others away, although I doubt that those will reach anywhere near maturity. I will get some pics and endeavour to post them. Cheers Steve

Hmmmm once again I am befuddled by technology, I can see them on my screen, three in the first post and one in the second. I will try to amend them. Cheers Steve

Hi Fred I fondly imagine I was using the 'easy' Google Pics, I copied the url and pasted and up they have come on my screen, I'm afraid my knowledge of electronics doesn't extend any further than that. I have no idea what I have done incorrectly.

You need to use an embed google app Steve. You have to enter the Google link into the app on here and then use the url provided by that app to embed the photo.

Now that was some real progress there Steve.
Wasn't expecting there'd be that much of a jump in growth since you'd last given us an update, so surprised in a good way.
Well done, sir!
