Peristrome is folding back and darkening up,i like the different hues during these stages, probably more so than when its a solid dark colour

That's a beautiful ovata upper Corky. How large is that pitcher? Everytime I look at it, it reminds me of The Horn of Plenty, aka Cornucopia. dvg

It's not massive, bottom of pitcher to top of the lid is 5 1/2 inches

I'll update this as the peristome turns a rich gold colour when the pitcher matures , n.veitchii "golden peristome"
