I started on the big wash today. I do try to wash pots during the growing season as they get emptied during re-potting but it invariably doesn't happen every time. Plus, MrsG called me up to a big box of pots in the attic. It had quite an assortment so I selected and washed abput 200 thumbpots 2" - 5cm, some 5.5cm and 6cm rounds plusfew small squares. That should set me up for a few seedlings in spring. I was considering buying about five 3 litre deep pots for some ferns next spring but there were about 15 of them jumping about shouting "use me" so that's cancelled. Next I suppose it'll be the tubs that are being emptied of Begonias. They'll get hosed outside when conditions allow. The final step I suppose will be to find somewhere to put all these seedlings in thumbpots . I have a cunning plan but I'll keep that to myself just in case MrsG ever reads this

MrsG found more 5, 5.5 and 6cm pots along with some other smallish ones so they're nice and clean now. Turned out there were 18 x 3 Litre/deep pots in good condition.
