Scilla verna , the Spring Squill is a British native. It mainly occurs in the western coastal regions in areas of short grasses. Hardy, easy to grow, pretty good to look at in flower too. What more could you ask ( OK it could pull up it's roots and chase after mice).

It is, technically... still lots of snow on the ground here.
Looks like you are much further along into the growing season.
