This hairy chappie appeared outside the Darlingtonia house this morning. It's about 20mm long.

Looks like a cockchafer to me - genus Melolontha. There are three species, one of which is only in Southern Germany. Apparently the tail shape can differentiate between the 'forest' (M. hippocastani) and 'common' (M. melolontha) cockchafer's.
Unfortunately the angle of your photo does not show the rear end.

I found the Cockchafer again, legs up in the Darlingtonia house. One of the D. regia begged so it wasn't wasted.
