The Common Twayblade or Neattea ovata ( formerly Listera) grows in a wide range of habitats, from grassland and woodlands on both calcareous and mildly acid soils, to coastal dune slacks, limestone pavements and heathland. The common name probably derives from Old Norse, the modern Swedish name is Två Blad - two leaves. Again, you have to get up close and personal

These have started flowering a little on the early side. The little green men are having to do headstands to fully open.

It's difficult to take a photo to show the density of plants in an area as when they are in flower as they blend in with the greenery around them. I think I've managed to show the density of the plants by taking photos of them while they have their seed heads.
