I was browsing on eBay and saw an add for 12 Lithops for £6.50 with free postage. I was so surprised my finger slipped on the mouse and apparently I did a BIN. Anyway, this is what I received. It's a good twelve

Some of the plants from the mixed pot I acquired earlier this year. There's some in this lot that are showing a lot of promise. There are still some still covered in the old dried skin, I'm removing these where possible without causing damage. There's another tray of very small ones.

It was noticeable that several plants tried to hide from the heat this week. They're definitely lower in the medium.

Fingers crossed my few pots seem ok but they're on a windowsill that doesn't get all day sun, looking at the bcss forum and you are lucky if none shrivel away completely

Now I know you're wondering where I get all these new Lithops from. Well, it's a friend of my wife's that keeps coming to the door and handing them in. They must be friends as she has a nickname for him. She refers to him as the postie man or something like that. Anyway, he called again today and left these. This has no ID ( as yet) but it does have, I think, a quite attractive pattern. I think it looks better in reality than the photo. This came along with it as a surprise. It is I believe a L. karasmontana.

The space I created putting the L. karasmontana ssp bella into a tray didn't last long. Here are the new incumbents. I'll repost in their species threads when they've settled in.

Bargain!Received today from T&M via ebay. Total cost £5.99 inc. postage ( have they made a mistake?) 3 x 8.5cm pots of Lithops. Of course they will require repotting, the medium is all wrong. There are more available Corky.

A job well done, textbook stuff, but an opportunity missed to line up the lines of adhesion, although the top third picture is pretty close!
Cheers Steve

Check the label. I don't think this is supposed to be yellow snow.
