I was delighted to see this tiny chap this morning. It's the first (I hope there will be more) of the Dinteranthus vanzylii to germinate. compared to the Lithops it is tiny. The components of this compost is sieved so those pebbles are very small grit.

It looks like you may have a little re-potting to do corky I had to give a little water to last year's Lithops seedlings as they were definitely drying up. The older plants are just fine though. they'll not get any water at all until the old leaves have dried off.

I had do do the same for last years seedlings, I lost a few and had to give the others a water, guess they completely dehydrate when so small

Re-potting doesn't seem to be a problem just now corky. They're still selling as bare root plants on ebay and some are fetching really good prices.

The Lithops pseudotruncatella ssp. dedritica (TOK 6) , currently shedding it's skin, camouflages itself quite well, in your choice of grit there Fred. dvg

This thread is very educational, in that it shows the amount of growth that can be expected over various time intervals. It shows that these little chappies grow along quite well. dvg
