This is Aloinopsis schooneesii. The plant arrived this morning so I duly potted it up. A nice plant I thought. I popped into the greenhouse this afternoon and was very surprised to find this. Hopefully the dust will be off the flower when it opens more fully tomorrow.

Aloinopsis schooneesii has decided to present another flower. This is its second day so I'm hoping tomorrow it will open wider.

A very late sowing of Aloinopsis malherbei has produce these little chappies. The true leaves are already showing the signs of teeth (knobbly bits).

Very nice Fred! You can see how God left his finger impressions in those leaves, as if they were hand sculpted from clay. dvg

This is the sole survivor of the Aloinopsis malherbei seedlings. It was a late sowing but the main problem was that they dried up over winter. This coming winter I will be a little more generous with the watering regime for all the seedlings. The non-lithop types of mesemb in general appear to need to be watched for drying out too much irrespective of age.
