The D. echinatum occasionally receives a glancing blow from its spacial awareness deteriorating minder. If this results in a couple of leaves and a small portion of stem knocked off then I simply stick the "cutting" into a handy pot I keep close by. They root quite easily I find.
I re-potted the best of the plants from the two quarter trays into 5½" half pots.
Even at this young age the roots started to fatten. They should make nice little caudiciform plants.
PS. I still have a load of individual plants, even after weeding out the less vigorous ones. I've even planted a group in the garden and amazingly they're as yet unattacked by gastropods. No doubt that will alter now that I've said it.
