I grew this plant from seed many years ago. It is truly herbaceous, dying down to the ground every year and starting afresh in the spring. The pollinators love it, unlike MrsG who just refers to it as the weed. The buds are just staring to open. There's plenty more to come .

Fred, you'll have to snap a few pics later on, when it is being visited by pollinators.
Does it attract honey bees or bumble bees?
We have a terrestrial Hawaiian orchid, recently declared a noxious weed, but i keep it around because it is a non-stop stop for bumble bees of all sizes, as well as ruby throated hummingbirds, flowering nonstop from midsummer up to the first hard frost.

It's not that easy to get a good shot of the pollinators Doug. That weed is over 2m high.
