Hi, That's a very nice Mamm you have there it could be M.sheldonia, M.Zeilmanniana, etc most mamms have quite small flowers upto about 2cm dia, but this looks bigger, you photgraphy's not too bad either. Well done.

Thanks for the suggestions, in bloom again, not one of my best pics but sun wasn't out and I'll end up missing the flowers if I wait until I'm around on a nice day

Always nice to see the flowers. Just noticed the hooked spines on this one. Corky, have you had any "incidents" with those hooks catching onto fabric or flesh? dvg

Not yet ,but never say never , i watered it earlier and heavier this year ,when i saw daffodils in flower, i reckon it appreciated it

Back on March 7, 2022, i made a post here with a flower pic from Mammillaria prolifera, aka the Texas Nipple Cactus. The flowers that appeared were hand pollinated, and then nothing....for many months. Eventually the red ripened fruits began to show themselves and this what is still left standing from last year's efforts. dvg

Excellent, you deserve seeds after that wait, good to see some posts from you again, I've had a bad year plant wise but hopefully will have some posts to make over the winter months
