A couple of photos of the River Teviot above the town on 19th June. The water level was very low. I don't remember ever seeing the level so low even when we had a Drought Minister. Yesterday we received a flood alert

If there was angling pressure on the browns before, with the reduced water flow, it could be like shooting fish in a barrel now...
...hopefully, some rain can help.

Standing as close to the same place as possible on November 4th. This was Thursday, if I'd been standing there the previous Friday night I would have needed an aqualung. We were told that 500 people were evacuated. I rang up and was told that they sent Mountain Rescue to check my place. 👍

Still looks very pretty, even if there are a lot more tree roots showing.

Beautiful pics Fred, the leaves, even up North still have autumnal colour. Agreed, trees do seem to lose their leaves later these days, when I was a lad, those that my dad didn't get to compost, were collected, frequently from the streets, and were a staple of the November 5th Bonfires. The trees were frequently bare before that date and frosts were also frequent in November. Cheers Steve
