Looks like a fun flower today... ...how bout a Sunflower? ( Helianthus ) I've grown everything from the tall Russian Giant to the diminutive Teddy Bear form of these happy plants. dvg

Great pic Fred Be good to see a pic of these if you get good flowers ,ive planted one from a seed the birds dropped in a pot that had sprouted but i think far too late in the season for it to flower, do you guys dry the flowers and hang em up for the birds in the winter?

I tend to let the birds {and regrettably squirrels) have the heads till end of autumn then pick them before the cooler wetter days let the mould proliferate, scrape the seeds out and use them on the table. Cheers Steve
