As a few of us are growing sunflowers I thought a thread of the visitors would be a good thing. Here's a start. Hoverflies and there are plenty of them around.

A teeny tiny wee yen. I believe it's Syritta pipiens a common, widespread hoverfly. Those thighs on the back legs help ID

This one was resting on a sunflower leaf so I asked her to pose. As her fee I lifted her onto a small sunflower. She appeared very grateful and proceeded to vigorously feed from every point available. She's a small one, approximately 12mm ( ½"}
