A pitcher from a seed grown northiana, received as a tiny bonus plant from a plant order, a few years back. It pitchered well enough as a small plant, but then sulked in the open air under lights, refusing to make any pitchers when it got a bit larger. To encourage pitchers again, the plant was moved in with an antfern, under a warm humidity dome. That worked well, pitchers have been forming on each and every new tendril now. This northiana specimen is still growing in a 4" pot in a media of coarse rinsed river sand, with a layer of live moss on top. dvg

It's already a bit too cozy in there now, will have to find it a bigger space to give it some more elbow room.

This is another seed grown clone of northiana, albeit a clone with paler green pitchers. Will post some pics when this one begins to pitcher here. dvg

This species does not like standing water on its leaves and will spot them up in protest if the water stays on them too long. The plant is starting to settle in here now, and has even sent out pitchers. This clone is showing just the very faintest of peristome striping at this early stage. dvg
