I purchased some U. australis over winter, when it arrived I feared for it, so rather than put it in the pond where it would have been stressed or killed by cold temperatures and more latterly the fish as they wake up, I popped it in a small bucket with some peaty pond water. I’m glad to say that it is now growing and will be introduced into the pond late in the summer, probably My or June. Apologies for the brown dross on the weed, I have some snails (Planorbis Corneus) and water woodlouse (Asellus aquaticus) from the pond in there too, together with a little peat, so there is some detritus about, and I created some water movement which has settled on the plant. Cheers Steve
