Distributing a wonderful perfume near the bottom greenhouse. The beetle inflicting the notch on the bottom petal was cordially invited to dinner with Venus.

Is that last lily flower from a 'Stargazer' Fred?
If so, it's one of my favorites - even willing to lean in close enough to risk pollen stains on me nose, for just a whiff of that heavensent aroma.

It's not a Stargazer Doug. It's one of the tree lilies, it's not that they're trees but tall. The Lily Beetles have been having far too much fun with them.

About those lily beetles, do you take any other precautions to eliminate them, in effect disrupting their life cycle so that your lily beds do not become their breeding grounds?
If they fly in from the neighbor's place that's another story.
They've shown up the in this province too, so just curious if you've put any preventative protocols in place and to what success they've been.
