This Grow Tent has been languishing in its box in the cellar for a few years so I thought I'd chance my arm and ask MrsG if I could use it outside the Darlingtonia house as an overflow for seedlings. Obviously, as is my nature, I have been a very good boy and she granted the necessary immediately. On recovering consciousness I set to work preparing the tent for use. Please note the ABSDS ( Anti-Blackbird Sphagnum Defence System) fitted to the fronts. No surprise in the fact I put 3 trays of Sphagnum and two of Pinguicula in it straight away.

I bought a new cover for this Wilco's Mini Greenhouse and strangely enough it didn't fit. The new cover was too small. Apparently, although I have a Wilco's Mini Greenhouse it's not the same size as a current Wilco's Mini Greenhouse. As the cover is really just to keep the Blackbirds off the plants I've covered it in an open plastic mesh. The surviving seedlings from the Darlingtonia house will reside in it in quarantine.Plenty air around them and they're exposed to the elements.

Have to say that you did an amazing job of covering your plant racks in mesh...very professional looking.
When i first saw it in your pic, just assumed you'd purchased it that way and wondered why racks weren't showing up here with mesh covering them like that.
It will definitely keep the blackbirds at bay, but allow the bugs and other prey to stay.

This week I had to put a better mesh flap on the top shelf to protect the Darlingtonia trays. The squirrels had discovered it was an easy place to bury nuts in. They were pushing the existing mesh to one side and squeezing in. Now the flap is smaller mesh, wider and clipped up the sides too.
