Discovered in the Rio Moctezumae Valley in 1994 it's not too difficult to see how Pinguicula moctezumae got this name. Apparently the plant is capable of forming a winter rosette but it commonly chooses not to so it must be kept moist all year. It's closely related to P. gypsicola but has larger leaves of up to 4" (10 cm). A recommended medium is peat/ sand on this one but I have it in my Vermiculite/ sand/ potting grit/ granite grit and a soupcon of peat.
