I just happened to spot this little white spot while I was watering yesterday. The whole plant is the size of the P on the label.

The plant body is about half the size of my little finger nail. The flower is twice the size of the body.

It's still looking good so another set of photos. That's my little finger for scale.

Something has excited the little thing, I haven't the heart to tell it how late in the year it is.

A very welcome sight on the 1st January in an unheated greenhouse. Incidentally, it's just one of three Pinguicula in flower at the moment. Makes you wonder where these claims of climate change come from

Such long flower stems. My little guy opened his flower just above the leaves. These look amazing!

Such long flower stems. My little guy opened his flower just above the leaves. These look amazing! Yes, agree with everything you said. That was my experience with this species as well: flowers on very short stalks. I wonder if Fred is growing a different species clone than our's or if instead the longer flower stalks are due to his greenhouse growing conditions. Whatever the reason, diversity is exciting. dvg
