Pinellia ternata an aroid native to China. The leaves are trifoliate in adult plants with the spathe (approx 7cm) showing above the foliage. It requires to be well watered in the growing season. Care needs to be taken as it may prove invasive in prefered conditions.Apart from seed the plant will also grow bulbils at leaf axils (pigeons like these I discovered last year). This potful was bought some years ago as a single Penellia cordata but is clearly Penellia ternata. It now sits outside in its pot and apparently quite enjoying it.
