The buds are finally beginning to open. It's been a long time coming . I can confirm they are scented. A little less wind and a warm spell we may find out just how scented.

As is typical, the L. hansonii decided to open most of its flowers whilst we were away. At least the ants seem to have enjoyed the event.

I like the coloring on that lily, as it reminds me of the wild Tiger Lilies here.
Fred, can you describe what their aroma smells like?
'Stargazer' comes to mind for scented lilies, and am a fan of its sweet scent.

Sorry Doug I can't describe the perfume. All I can say that two nostrils full is not that good, too powerful. It needs to be just a slight whiff to be acceptable.
