Continuing from the spring thread, summer flowers as they bloom. Wilcos were selling off their seed tin the winter so I grabbed a pack of Cerinthe major purpurescens. They came on rather well, overgrowing their pots when we were up north. They've settled well in the garden and I look forward to them when fully coloured up. Here's how they are at the moment. I'm expecting the bracts to attain more blue/purple.

These Linaria purpurea (Toad flax ) have been coming up beside the greenhouses for several years. Where they came from we have no idea but as the bees enjoy them so much they are allowed to stay. While I took these photos of the light pink there were three Bumble bees on the heads. Then the darker flowers appeared two or three years ago.

A Lily bought as a red martagon. Allium plummerae, apparently a rare plant outside its native Arizona.

Antirrhinum procumbens. We don't know where it came from and we're not quite sure where it's going but it pops up all over the place. L. 'Fairy Morning' flowered some weeks ago and I've been trying to remember what happened to L. 'Arabian Knight'. We couldn't find the tub of them anywhere. Then the remaining buds in the 'Fairy Morning' tub opened and ooooooooops is says they're both in there on the label.

This pot of 'grass' sends out these clouds of flowers annually. The only problem I have is the label went walkies. Edit. I have been reminded that this was labelled Anomatheca laxa - The False Freesia Of course the taxonomists have been at work and it is now Freesia laxa. So, The False Freesia is now a Freesia umm

The Toad Flax do like to send up some interesting flowers. Not bad for what is a self set plant and could be regarded as a weed.
