This is seed grown Sarracenia purpurea var. venosa "Buddha Belly" which grows outside in a bog all year, venosa are a bit on the delicate side for the UK winters, they tend to get very ragged and start growing late and then slowly, even with some winter protection. This clone however grows stronger and colours better than any other venosa I possess, it is also grows faster, spreads nicely and is larger. All in all a nice plant for the bogs. Cheers Steve
