Lithops pseudotruncatella v groendraiensis - acquired from Abbey Brook. The old leaves were completely dried up so today it was watered. It's still in the Abbey Brook pot and compost.

The plant on the right was giving concern before our trip North. On our return it looked like it was out for the count. However there was a glimmer of life to the right side and the plant was still firm. After some masterful wizardry with the tweezers this is the result. Next? Rocket science or brain surgery or both, I have the tweezers.

Next? Rocket science or brain surgery or both, I have the tweezers. Your tweezers might work well enough on a bottle rocket Fred, but brain surgery would best be performed with a sharp scalpel, or better yet, a high energy laser. That said, i'd much rather have a full bottle in front of me, than a full frontal lobotomy... dvg

A couple of plants began flowering over the weekend. I only managed to catch one open though.

I installed a shelf in the top greenhouse this morning, it's a lean to. Shortly after I had the brilliant idea of repotting the two 3" pots of L. pseudotruncatella as they were becoming very restricted. This is what I finished up with. Needless to say that there's not a lot of room left on the shelf But I do have room for two 3" pots in the bottom greenhouse

One of the recently re-potted plants became my first Lithops flower of the year.

Here's a new arrival ( today). I saw it on ebay @ £3.99 post free and thought why not? This clone of ssp. groendrayensis and has no markings. This is the one I obtained from Abbeybrook.
