That was no highwayman. He offered a plant and it was bid on without extortion or coercion. I believe it's called market forces. There's also a saying I can't fully recall about money and the people it's soon parted from.

The seed arrived last Friday and germinated on Monday. My excuse is I am hoping to get a straight L. optica in the bunch. The patches of sand are covering roots. I learned last year not to play about with seedlings too much until they've reached several months. I bought 20 seeds so germination exceeds 100% PS: I expected the seedlings to be darker too

Fred, the rubra form is red, but what would the straight Lithops optica species look like and what is the appeal for you in obtaining the straight form?
