I've been growing this for five years now in the Sarracenia lagoons. There is a more common ( cheaper) pink version. It's certainly hardy as I have it recorded at -17C (1F) in its first winter with me.

I passed on many of my orchids to others some time ago. Nowadays it's mainly the self set natives that keep popping up.

I found a local source for this species but the seller says he's had trouble with them rotting trying to grow in a Sphagnum bog. I was wondering what your experience was with this plant.
