It seems Nepenthes pitchers are more than just bug bidets and loos for tree shrews - turns out the pitchers also have utility in the kitchen.
Yes, you can cook rice in 'em!
This fellow CP grower went through with the process of steaming a seasoned rice dish inside his own Nepenthes ampullaria pitchers - he was surprised at how well the texture of the steamed rice turned out inside the pitchers.
