I'd recognize that bat anywhere. Have never seen the flowers emerging unopened from Lithops before... ...interesting how the pattern on their wrapper matches the coloring of the plant as well. dvg

The 2 min 30 seconds of sunshine we had today worked wonders on the flower buds. The petals really are that colour of yellow. They glow . A new addition is Lithops otrzeniana Aquamarine. I've been busy with the cheeky bids again. It's amazing how some plants are missed by the high rollers. I would have expected to have paid at least three times more for this little double header.

Getting some action now from the mesembs. This plant must be quite happy as it's forming a double head this year.

This one really blends in well with the gritty top-dressing Fred.
Noticed the colors of the older leaves on this one are two shades of grey, though the newer incoming leaves have a bit more color to them.
Do their leaves change color as the age, or is this a clone that hasn't been shown in this thread yet?

The old leaves tend to lose their colour Doug. I noticed today that one of the other L. otzeniana is forming a new double head too. I must be doing something right.

Those last two Lithops work well as a Rorschach test, For both the batty, and the bat-obsessed. dvg

Things are moving slowly amongst the Lithops but slowly is better than nothing.
