Received this compact mexi-ping as a bonus plant last year from fellow Canadian, Cole Bonfield. This is a hybrid Cole made by crossing a mother P. jaumavensis with pollen from the P. emarginata "large red rosette" clone. This clone is currently splitting into two, while also sending up its first flowers, under my care. I have no idea what these flowers will eventually look like, but the veining visible on the forming flower petals, is promising. dvg

These older posts provide great information for me. I just realized that I have purchased a few plants from a fellow grower using the similar named parents. I hope the flower looks as great as yours.

The resting rosette may be stirring. Its potmate sends a flower upward. dvg

The colour of the leaves and the veining pattern is also very nice.

Had noticed that this clone's rosette had divided after its previous flowering, which is not unusual for mexi-pings. But when it was flipped around today, it turned out there were four divisions on the backside, which was a pleasant surprise. dvg
