These seedlings definitely didn't like the very hot days we had. The same applies to lots of the other mesemb seedlings.
Here's the survivor/s.

These desert plants are very touchy when it comes to direct sunlight and I have to move them around and provide shading. The Carnivores on the other hand lap up as much sun as they can get. Not quite what you'd anticipate.

At least I have as many Monilaria plants left as I wanted. I'm useless at culling and disposing of plants so it saves space
