I'm guessing that those particular Conophytum clumps are probably rare, finicky to grow, prone to rot if overwatered, and extremely slow growing - maybe difficult like Aztekium ritterii. Have you added any of those high end specimens to your collection yet, fredg ? dvg

I don't supply the conditions to risk that amount of money Doug. I now have a nice little collection of Conos and I don't pay double figures to get them. Now I need to gain some experience.

And they say people have no money these days Maybe it's because they spent it all on Conophytum £320.00 £283.00 £454.00 £207.00 £255.00 £310.00 £331.00 £576.00 £540.00 £103.70 were the £100+ lots I splashed out £6.50 for a couple of Lithops which is about 20% of the price they were at a couple of months ago
