Broken tree branches and downed power lines, apparently. The power was out here from at least 2:30 am, before it was finally restored again just before noon. May snow storms happen here about once every ten years, but still seem to take us by surprise. Here is shot of what remained here from just after noon. dvg

That's a proper covering, I think we would call that a snow storm and it'd bring the country to a stop, they take us by surprise in the middle of winter

Chilblains? Chilblains??? Hell no! What is wrong with you! Actually, the eye-opener was how losing electricity prevented us from doing ordinary, everyday things, like cooking or making hot beverages. The snow itself will do little harm, other than pruning weak tree branches, and tarnishing the tomato's leaves, some folks left out, uncovered. dvg
