WIP - They're coming along nicely. Mainly armament and back packs to do and then the final wash They have their buttons now so definitely IR12

I've finished painting the IR12 Grenadiers, they're still to base. I thought they were suitably soiled but MrsG thought they should be a little dirtier. I'm happy with them though. Now for the first lot of French Imperial Carabiniers

Painting is progressing on the Grenadier (Hungarian) contingent. MrsG has decided that they are to be IR61 and I have absolutely no objections to that ( I know better ). With the base colours on they're a bit more recognisable.

More like IR61 now, the buttons will clinch it

IR 61 are getting there. These are taking longer than the IR12 uniforms. I opened up a box of Austrian Cuirassiers on Wednesday to wash and trim them up to follow on. Two of the three sprues were ok but the third were obviously Light Dragoons ( later I ID'd them as KGL). A phone call to the supplier on Wednesday just before 5pm and a new box arrived today, Friday (free). That's good service.

The IR61 Grenadiers are done. These are the 18 I used in the main group. They were all nice and clean so I gave them a sepia wash and just brought some parts back. It makes them a little more like they were on campaign. The based group shots with command group added.

A couple of mounted Colonels are WIP. That should keep the two regiments in order. In the meantime someone ( who shall remain nameless) added this little group of Grenadiers to the production line. I just happen to have details of a little known Battalion's uniforms that should look ok on these. Three Regiments with different colours so that'll be just the four figures in each uniform. In case anyone is wondering, yes, the muskets are on the wrong shoulder.

The City Grenadier Battalion, the city being Vienna. From left to right the 1st, 2nd and 3rd Divisions. These are Italeri plastic 1/72 figures and their uniforms are sculpted as hybrids of German and Hungarian. They're inaccurate for both. The muskets are on the wrong shoulder and there's not a cartridge pouch between them. They also look remarkably like one of the members of the Village People and I fully expect them to begin singing and spelling out YMCA at any moment.
