It has been decided that this first set is to be IR38. So a couple of the poses as painting begins. I do like these metal figures

Still making progress, a little slower as someone added some extra Grenadiers to the line.

Here we have the first installment of my Austrian Fusiliers. These are of IR38 Herzog von Wurttemberg. The regiment was formed in 1792 and it's original intake was from Neiderlande and would have been Walloon. From 1798 the intake area was Galicia - Kielce - Siedlec . Disbanded in 1809 the Regiment had a second raising in 1814 when the intake became Italian as the forfeited Italian territories were returned to Austria. 1815 saw it as IR38 Freiherr von Prochaska.

What exactly is the paint you use ? Is it the well known Humbrol in little tins which doesn't seem to be quite as readily available or an acrylic paint ? And is acrylic paint waterproof when it has completely dried ? Very occasionally I make simple printed circuit boards by cleaning the copper surface, drilling holes where they are needed and using the point of a bamboo skewer to produce the round "lands". Then paint lines as neatly as possible to connect them up. After drying etch in Ferric Chloride. Hence the reason for knowing whether acrylic paint is water proof.

Roger, Acrylic paints are indeed waterproof and they are very fast drying. The ones I use are from various sources. Paints made for models, artists paints, cheap childrens' paints and acrylic inks.
