I'm amazed by how much flowering your succulents have shown, Fred.
Aside from their interesting plant part shapes and textures, the flowering is the cherry on top. 🍨

JL6 has now been identified as Deilanthe peersii Deilanthe thudichumii. This is the one that flowers in the afternoon

Progress, although sometimes I prefer the buds to the flower. Will it open this afternoon or will it be tomorrow? Perhaps it could be the weekend? These are harder questions to answer correctly than - Did the PM mislead Parliament?

It opened slightly last Friday. A little more on Sunday but closed again before it showed off its full glory. Tuesday was the same as Friday then nothing. Yesterday (Thursday) the stem started to sag and I thought it was a goner. This morning I considered removing it from the plant, however, the sun decided to reappear and this afternoon this is what greeted me. Worth the wait.
