They sure did Fred!
Don't believe i've ever seen anything like those seedlings, with their strap shaped leaves attached to their egg shaped ovoid bodies.
Very cool.
Thanks for sharing.

The ovoid parts are the seed leaves Doug. I'll sort out a close -up to show that.

By seed leaves, do you mean the cotyledons Fred? If so, those "ovoid bodies" should eventually shrivel, dry and fall off in time. Still, it is an interesting look at present. dvg

I now have 30 pots of the D. bosseranum and there's plenty more in the tray. D. echinatum is still flowering profusely in the corner. All the other Delosperma are looking quite healthy. Happy days

Ok make that 31 pots of D. bosseranum and 3 trays of 10. The rest of the seedlings have been removed. There's far too many already.

My D. bosseranum seedlings. I didn't think I'd sown that much seed. ( There's still seed available in my fridge) Delosperma lehmanii, or Corpuscularia lehmannii ,an extremely good price and postage costs from Spain enticed the procurement of a couple of these. A couple of leaves broke off so they're currently rooting. Three pots of them is a good start. Delosperma esterhuyseniae, the label has the wrong name. I've not printed my own yet for some reason. At least the location is correct

I may as well add some other Delosperma I have. Delosperma "Moonstone" which I believe in it's full title is Delosperma cooperii Jewel of Desert Moonstone. A white flowered form Delosperma "Sani Pass" or Delosperma alpinum "Sani Pass" or Ectotropis seanii-hoganii

Delosperma esterhuyseniae, Adamskraal began flowering yesterday. I spotted the flowers as they were closing in the afternoon so I had to wait for them to open today to get a photo.

A half shut flower of Delosperma Moonstone. I suppose I'll catch it full open some time
