Delosperma bosseranum germination a week after sowing. Not bad considering the temperature was around 17C, dull and wet and the tray placed under a bench. I've now opened the vents on the propagator top (unheated)
Due to the thin sowing, the seedlings are nicely spaced so will not require pricking out for quite a while. It's good when a plan comes together
Do you know if the day flowering succulents rely on ultraviolet signature patterns on the flowers to attract insect pollinators and the night flowering species rely on floral scents or phermones to attract their pollinators?

stevebooth: I don’t begrudge them the Sphagnum, it’s what is with it that I covet, plus they seem to totally remove the top layer and use the lower levels, I have hopefully rendered many of the pots more birdproof this afternoon.
